About Wood

      This resource is to better help you understand the woods (and materials which substitute wood) use in my carvings, signs, and other wood projects.  I will be developing this page as time permits, I will also be adding other resources which can be located on the Web.
      I will start with those woods which are used in both my signs and carvings.  Not all the woods which I use in my woodcarvings would I use for signs and as this page develops you should have a better understanding.

Woods for Signs

      The woods & other materials which I use for my signs are all rated for exterior use and are used on both my indoor and outdoor signs (I also use a polyurethane, medium density foam on all my sandblasted signs.  This material). The wood is listed alphabetically and not in order of preference.

Send a sketch with dimensions or your layout for a price quote. To have an illustration or logo added to your sign, please enclose photos and/or drawings.

Be sure to be as specific as possible as to what you want. Include size, style of sign, type of wood if you desire something other than pine, kind of finish and anything else you can think of.
