These are the very best of all the wooden signs. Originating from the signage which once adorned the magnificent square-riggers and later became known in the United States as Cape Cod or New England style signs.

These signs tell your clients and friends you have great taste. The letters are carved inward on a flat surface and thus create well formed shadows which enhances the beauty of these signs. To fully take advantage of shadowing,   we don't skimp by carving our letters shallow.  It is our belief that a letter carved at least 45 degrees gives the best shadowing.  To farther emphasize the beauty of these letters we recommend that the letters be painted with a light color with the sign background being considerably darker for good contrast.  And than outline these letter with a black enamel  as a finishing touch.

The hand carved incised letters or illustrations may be further enhanced by gilding them with real 23 karat gold leaf.
