This workshop has been designed to teach you how to carve incised letters using 
just one tool, the Magic Knife (which is included with the workshop).  This technique 
has been taught to over a thousand students and is accompanied by a text book (also
included in the workshop).

The workshop is for four days and in that time, you will be exposed to the following:

• The basic two types of cuts, Stop Cut and Back Cut
• The four Basic Cuts
• Use of the Magic Knife
• Sharpening
• Types of woods and other materials used in sign carving
• Carving the Basic Cuts
• Carving a "Welcome" sign
• Carving "Feathered ends"
• Carving an incised star
• Carving an eagle head appliqué
• Shown how to glue and prep a sign board
• Shown how to finish a sign
• Shown how to gold leaf a sign
• Questions answered throughout the course

It is my intent that you will leave this workshop with enough knowledge, so with continued practice, you will be able to produce professionally carved signs.  Not to mention, that with the techniques you learn here, you can apply them to any type of woodcarving you desire!!
